Back squats are the staple of any good strength program. And as we get through the Open, we’re using a lower percentage than we have during a normal cycle. With a lower percentage, really focus on perfecting your form under load.

Our metcon today features a movement we’ll all be seeing soon and slamballs (LOL). At only 7 reps, this scheme just teases you to break up the set…but don’t you dare. Stay with each set of 7 and don’t put down the bar or ball. Challenge yourself to keep moving.

Back Squat: 5×5 @ 70%

7 Thrusters (95/65)
7 Slamballs (30/20)
